Phoenix Refugee Internship
Make your summer count! Live on mission among unreached refugees in Phoenix.
Date: May 28 - July 24, 2026
Cost: $3000
Phoenix has become home to thousands of refugees from some of the least-reached places in the world. The GoTEN Refugee Internship gives college students and young adults the opportunity to step into these communities, build friendships, and experience cross-cultural ministry without leaving the U.S.
During this internship, you will serve alongside GoTEN staff in English classes, kids’ programs, and apartment outreach. You’ll participate in weekly training sessions designed to help you think, relate, and minister across cultures, and you’ll be paired with a mentor from our missionary team for encouragement and guidance. Fridays are dedicated to refugee home visits—listening to stories, praying with families, and learning how to meet practical and spiritual needs in ways that build trust.
The summer is not just about service; it’s about growth. Interns work through GoTEN’s Neighbor, Friend, Family workbook, reflect together in weekly discussions, and practice living on mission in everyday ways. Shared housing, community meals, and team activities create an environment where interns learn, laugh, and walk together through both challenges and joys.
This internship is designed to give you practical ministry experience, a clearer vision of what God is doing among the nations, and an opportunity to discern your role in His mission.
