We are on the lookout for individuals who have a genuine love for children and possess a passion for imparting both knowledge and life skills. GoTEN’s Kids Ministry in Phoenix, AZ serves as a haven for children of refugees while their parents are engaged in English or Sewing classes. Through our program, we not only offer a supportive setting for the children but also aim to infuse the spirit of community, sharing the love of Jesus with every young heart.

The role revolves around a balanced blend of structured learning and free play, ensuring that children thrive, enhance their language abilities, and develop robust social skills in an environment specifically curated for them.

Though prior experience in teaching or handling kids’ programs is beneficial, it isn’t a stringent requirement. Our emphasis is on the passion and commitment to oversee weekly classes, engage with children from diverse backgrounds, and ensure that the class environment remains lively, organized, and consistent with our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitating Learning and Play: Employ tools and materials available to promote developmental growth, ensuring every child is both entertained and educated.
• Connecting with Volunteers: Collaborate with volunteers from local churches, understanding their strengths, and aligning them with the needs of the classes.
• Ensuring Safety: Uphold the utmost standards of child safety, ensuring all volunteers are background checked and undergo requisite child safety training.
• Promoting Inclusivity: Welcome new children into the fold, fostering an environment where every child feels seen, heard, and valued.
